White Cloud Mountain Minnow

This species originates from China. The White Cloud Mountain minnow has nearly vanished from its native habitat, primarily due to pollution and increased tourism. It was thought to be extinct for more than 20 years as of 1980; however, a seemingly native population was found on Hainan Island, distant from its original location at White Cloud Mountain.
