Synodontis Petricola

The Synodontis petricola, also known as the cuckoo catfish or pygmy leopard catfish, is native to lake Tanganyika in Africa. It's found in Burundi, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Tanzania.

Synodontis petricola are a gorgeous and rare small/medium sized, peaceful catfish. An aquarium suitable for them should be spacious, have a sandy substrate, and plenty of hiding places.  The water should be slightly alkaline and well-oxygenated. A spacious tank allows the fish to swim freely and exhibit their natural behavior.

Use a sandy substrate to mimic their natural environment.

Add rocks, caves, driftwood, and aquatic plants

The rocky decor provides shelter and breeding sites for the catfish
