Casuarina Cones

Casuarina are a beautiful and unique looking botanical, they will stain your water a nice tea colour and provide your fish and inverts with many health benefits naturally as they breakdown over time. These cones provide baby shrimplets with a hideout in their small holes and biofilm to graze on, giving them a constant food source without fouling up the water.

How to prepare your botanicals for use: We recommend steeping your botanicals in freshly boiled water for 15-30 minutes minimum (my personal preference is just leaving them in the water until it fully cools) 

When adding botanicals to your aquarium be sure to add a small amount at a time so you can see how your tank will react and give it time to adjust.
